About Girish V Nair, MD, MS

Girish V. Nair, MD, MS, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Greenfield, and New Castle, Indiana. Dr. Nair specializes in diagnosing and treating atrial fibrillation (AFib), a type of arrhythmia in which your heartbeat is irregular, either too fast or too slow. Other symptoms may include chest pain, sweating, fatigue, shortness of breath, and weakness. He starts by listening to understand you and uses diagnostic testing to help determine the cause of your irregular heartbeat. Then, Dr. Nair delivers non-surgical treatments to correct arrhythmias, irregular heart rhythms, and help prevent stroke.

Whether you have new symptoms or want to talk to a heart doctor about a heart rhythm diagnosis, Dr. Nair is here for you. He performs minimally invasive cardiac ablation procedures, such as cardiac resynchronization technology, cardioversion, electrical cardioversion, maze procedure, pacemakers, radiofrequency ablation, or catheter ablation, and implants heart devices, such as WATCHMAN™ to help restore a normal heartbeat.

Dr. Nair has a special interest in managing chronic AFib, and diagnosing and treating all types of heart rhythm disorders.
