About Douglas J Fox, Jr, MD
Dr. Fox grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. After finishing his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University in 1995, he went on to complete his medical degree at Washington University in 1999. Dr. Fox remained at Washington University for his residency training in neurosurgery and graduated in 2005. Following his residency, he completed two additional years of training with fellowships in cerebrovascular surgery and complex spinal surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute. His clinical interests include cerebrovascular neurosurgery, skull base surgery, and complex spinal surgery including the cranio-cervical junction. Dr. Fox has published widely and maintains an active research interest in cerebrovascular physiology and the development of new surgical technologies to improve neurosurgical care.
