Michael A. Robinson, MD
About
Dr. Michael Robinson is a board-certified fellowship-trained orthopedic joint replacement surgeon with a focus on hips and knees. Dr. Robinson attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City for both his undergraduate and medical doctorate degrees. He then went on to the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii for his surgical internship. After completing his internship, he attended the Naval Aviation Medical Institute where he was designated a Naval Flight Surgeon. Following this training and a tour as a flight surgeon, Dr. Robinson completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and subspecialty fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement. Dr. Robinson has proudly served in the Navy for the past 21 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. He served as Department Head of Orthopedic Surgery at the NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit in Kandahar, Afghanistan and the Naval Hospital Jacksonville. He was selected and served two years as the Chief Medical Officer at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. Dr. Robinson has received multiple awards for his service, including a Meritorious Service Medal and two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals. When not caring for patients, Dr. Robinson likes to run, mountain bike and attend his children’s activities.
