Christine E. Gupta, MD, is a board-certified, experienced general surgeon at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel and Fishers, Indiana near Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Gupta provides comprehensive surgical care, including general surgery, colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and in-office procedures such as sebaceous cysts, lipomas, skin cancers, hidradenitis suppurativa, temporal artery biopsy, and port-a-cath. Dr. Gupta graduated from the University of California San Diego and earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Illinois. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Illinois, Metropolitan Group Hospitals and a fellowship in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Dr. Gupta also enjoys sharing her knowledge with medical students. She is currently Assistant Professor at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been teaching there since 2017. She was also clinical faculty for the St. Vincent General Surgery Residency Program from 2012 to 2016.

Dr. Gupta is a Surgeon of Excellence at our Hernia Center of Excellence at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel. She is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Hernia Society, and the Indiana State Medical Association.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Gupta enjoys spending time with her four children, travel and sports.
