Bosom Buddies: New Parent Support Group

Ascension Seton Free group for new parents discussing breastfeeding, newborn care, sleep and more

This a great opportunity for expectant and new parents to chat about baby topics and early parenting.

The virtual group meets every Monday from 1-3pm, and the in person group from 1:30-3pm. The groups are led by a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who is there to facilitate and answer basic questions.

This group is open to the public and is FREE. Participants can expect to meet other parents and parents-to-be and create a community for their growing family while learning.

Topics will cover infant feeding, postpartum recovery and general new parent support. You do not have to be a Breastfeeding Success client to join us – this group is open to the public. We only ask that you are respectful of all participants and the moderator and are tolerant of views or parenting styles that may differ from your own. This group is open to parents who may provide breastmilk or feed their babies in a number of ways – you do not have to be exclusively breastfeeding or feeding at the breast to attend.

Please remember that this group is for peer support and educational purposes only. Information provided in this group setting does not replace care instructions from your healthcare provider and is not the right setting for a full lactation consultation. For detailed questions, please schedule a consultation with a Breastfeeding Success lactation consultant by calling 512-808-0237 or contact your medical professional for other concerns.
