The Level IV NICU at Dell Children's is ready should your baby need advanced care after birth. This is the highest level of care available for critically ill or extremely premature newborns in Central Texas and connects your baby to the region's largest network of pediatric specialists and specialty programs, including a Level I Children's Surgical Program.

Women's Hospital in 2026
Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin features a maternal Level IV designation, meaning we care for the most complex maternal conditions, obstetric complications and fetal conditions. In Spring 2026, Ascension Seton Women’s Hospital will open adjacent to Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. The new hospital will offer advanced maternal and fetal care, high-risk pregnancy services, 24/7 OB-GYN emergency services and gynecologic care.
