Kurt T. Stockamp, MD

Kurt Stockamp, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart. He provides specialized surgical care, including robotic, laparoscopic and open procedures, to patients needing breast cancer surgery and breast biopsy, abdominal surgery, colon/rectal and hemorrhoid surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder/appendix surgery, skin mass/cyst removal and port placement/removal. Dr. Stockamp has a special interest in robotics. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions at Ascension Sacred Heart, including chief of surgery, and he has served on the hospital’s advisory board, medical executive committee and physician performance improvement committee. Dr. Stockamp has served as principal investigator in more than 20 research trials. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Southeastern Surgical Society, the American Society of General Surgeons, the Florida Surgical Society, the Florida Committee on Trauma, the Florida Medical Association, the Escambia County Medical Society and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
