Simon P. Patton, MD

Simon P Patton, MD, joined Ascension Via Christi as a urogynecologist with a specialty in female pelvic medicine. His areas of interest within specialty include female pelvic floor relaxation, uterine and bladder prolapse, all types of urinary incontinence, cystocele, rectocele, overactive bladder, fistula repair, painful bladder syndrome and recurrent UTI. He chose this specialty because he wanted to help patients restore their quality of life and get back to the activities they love. He chooses to treat conditions that, he says, can sometimes cause embarrassment and cause patients to put off seeking help for years. Dr. Patton chose medicine because of his interaction with patients and the work that goes into finding a better quality of life. The most rewarding thing to him is collaborating with patients on their treatment plan to meet their goals. His best piece of advice for patients is to learn as much as they can about their condition from their doctor and encourages patients to be their own, biggest advocate. Dr. Patton looks forward to serving on a medical mission trip someday and helping his kids find their passions.
