Eugene J. Dabezies, Jr., MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL. He provides specialized, comprehensive care to adults ages 18 and up with musculoskeletal injuries or issues. Dr. Dabezies has special training in hip and knee joint replacement surgery, as well as the use of robotics. After residency, he spent an additional fellowship year to specialize in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Dabezies helped to establish the joint replacement center at Ascension Sacred Heart, which was the first hospital in Pensacola to receive Joint Commission accreditation for joint-replacement surgery. Along with his partners, he established a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at Ascension Sacred Heart to help train future surgeons in this field of specialization. Dr. Dabezies was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He and his wife settled in Pensacola in 1996 where they raised their family of three children. He wrote a cookbook of family recipes in honor of his grandmother, and a second cookbook was completed following the COVID-19 quarantine of 2020.
