Nishtha Sareen, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with Ascension Saint Thomas Heart in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Sareen is board-certified in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, coronary CTA, endovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and internal medicine. She performs procedures to restore blood flow to the heart to help prevent heart attack and stroke, including opening clogged coronary arteries.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Sareen has made significant contributions as the Medical Director of Women's Cardiovascular Services for Ascension Michigan. She pioneered the first all-inclusive women's clinic network system, and has served as Chair of the Women's Heart Council, as well as a Board Member and District 4 Representative for the American College of Cardiology's Michigan Chapter. Dr. Sareen's leadership and dedication have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including the 2024 Gold Stevie® Winner: Woman of the Year- Healthcare. She is a strong advocate for making women's healthcare accessible, consistent, and affordable, both for patients and the healthcare system.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Sareen enjoys dancing, kayaking, swimming and spending time with her family.

Professional Statement

Cardiovascular disease is the No.1 killer of women in the US, more than all cancers combined. There is so much more to do, especially in our beautiful state of Tennessee.
