About
Kenneth J. Moise Jr., MD, is a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist with Dell Children's in Austin, Texas. He works with your OB-GYN to deliver advanced care for high-risk pregnancy and fetal conditions. Dr. Moise specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex and rare fetal conditions. At labor and delivery, he coordinates care with the Dell Children’s specialized delivery and neonatal care team for the health of the mother and baby.
Dr. Moise is a professor at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Department of Women's Health. He also serves as the Director of the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center at Dell Children's, a clinical collaboration with UT Health Austin. At this site of care, they provide comprehensive care for babies with complex illnesses and congenital conditions. Dr. Moise starts by listening to understand you and your health concerns. Then, he and his care team deliver compassionate, personalized care for many conditions, including congenital malformation, congenital heart conditions, neural tube defects (spina bifida), twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, urinary tract conditions and other complex fetal conditions.
Dr. Moise is a founding member of the North American Fetal Treatment Network, and served on its executive board and steering committee. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to the treatment of Rh disease, the development of a middle cerebral artery Doppler for the non-invasive detection of fetal anemia, and the use of free fetal DNA to determine the fetal RHD status in the U.S. He was instrumental in the formation of the other fetal centers in North Carolina and Houston, Texas. Dr. Moise was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine for his work in hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN). For more than 30 years Dr. Moise has been a physician-researcher in the field of fetal medicine. His current clinical research focus is as the principal investigator of an international study on the use of monoclonal antibodies to treat severe HDN instead of intrauterine transfusions.
