K. Duane Carter, MD, is a pediatrician at Studer Family Children's Hospital Pediatrics in Port St. Joe, Florida, and provides primary care for infants, children and teens. Dr. Carter delivers care for minor childhood illness and injuries, annual check-ups, well-baby visits, physicals for school and sports and vaccinations. He starts by listening to understand your child and their health. Then, Dr. Carter works with you to create a personalized care plan that's right for them.

Dr. Carter has served in a number of capacities throughout his career, including as the chief of pediatrics for ECM Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama. He has a special interest in education and preventive care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Carter enjoys writing poetry, watching hockey and football, and traveling with his family, including the 14 children he adopted internationally from six countries.
