Our respiratory care programs and services include the pulmonary medicine specialists at Austin Children’s Chest Associates. If your child is hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU), our critical care medicine and respiratory health teams work together to deliver advanced care. We listen to understand your concerns and support the family. At the Dell Children's ICU we provide intensive care, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and the tracheostomy and ventilator, if needed.
Allergy, asthma and immunology
We provide complete testing and care for children with allergies and asthma. Our asthma management approach and personalized care plan includes educating your child and the family about triggers and ways to minimize symptoms. Allergies when left untreated can complicate your child's respiratory health. Our care team treats the whole child. Our doctors also specialize in rarer immunodeficiency disorders and diseases.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
At the Cystic Fibrosis Care Center, our multi-specialty team helps children with CF learn how to manage this chronic lung and digestive health condition. Our program is fully accredited for pediatric and adult cystic fibrosis care by the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We provide services that grow with your child into adulthood.
Sleep Disorders
Sleep disorders in children, like adults can affect your health in many ways. Our sleep medicine team specialized in detecting the underlying conditions that may be affecting your child’s normal sleep pattern. Our pediatric-focused sleep lab technology and experienced care team coordinates care with the Austin Children's Chest Associates, so your child gets care that is right for his condition.
