If your child needs care for an eye injury or condition, our experienced pediatric eye doctors (ophthalmologists) at Dell Children's - Eye Center Far West in Austin provide advanced tests and treatments for eye disorders in children. All ophthalmologists have some training in children’s eye problems, but pediatric ophthalmologists have additional training and practice in examining children and caring for their eye problems. During a vision test, our pediatric ophthalmology care team helps your child feel comfortable by explaining the test and using equipment specifically designed for children. Pediatric surgical care for eye conditions 

Our ophthalmologists are also trained eye surgeons and provide surgical care for eye injuries and other emergencies. For some eye conditions, a procedure may be part of your child’s care plan. Your child’s care team takes the time to explain the procedure to you and your child. Tell us your concerns and ask us your questions — big and small.
