William Taylor, DO, neurohospitalist for Ascension Medical Group, received his medical degree from Kansas City University and completed his residency in adult neurology and his fellowship in vascular neurology at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. His special interests include general neurology, neurologic complications of COVID, and stroke. "Having a stroke is a life-changing experience for patients and their families. Nothing is more terrifying than realizing that everything that you think you are as a person can be taken away in a moment. I find it incredibly rewarding to work with the patient and their family in order to preserve their dignity and self-worth, as well as, show them what they can do to reduce their risk of another event. It takes openness and courage to take control of their health again and I continue to find that strength inspiring and humbling." In his spare time, Dr. Taylor is interested in reading, particularly science fiction and political science, weightlifting, and traveling.
