Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph Mammography reaccredited

The Mammography department at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph has successfully completed reaccreditation by the American College of Radiology for another three years.

"Achieving accreditation is a rigorous and time-consuming process," says Gretchen Rumsey, Imaging manager at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph. "Kathy Andrews did an exceptional job in leading this effort, supported by physicist Jerry Thomas, our radiation safety officer, and radiologist Adam Gregg, MD."

"The review focuses on image quality and the team's continuing education," says David Degenhardt, director of Imaging for Ascension Via Christi's Wichita hospitals and clinics.

Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa's Mammography department will undergo reaccreditation once its machine is upgraded this fall as will East Murdock with the upcoming installation of its second machine. Founder's Circle will be up for reaccreditation next year. All four locations offer 3-D mammography.
