Caring for your child's tracheostomy
Your care team is here to support you and teach you how to safely care for your child’s new tracheostomy (trach) tube. While your child is in the hospital, you will learn to take care of their trach tube and any of their other needs. Your child’s nurses and respiratory therapists work closely with you and your child to make sure you know how to keep your child safe at home. They are available to answer any questions you have.
