How to get started with healthy weight loss
First, call the office at 615-328-3710. Before coming in for your appointment, complete these two steps:
- Provide a member of our care team with your insurance information so it can be discussed at your appointment.
- Attend a required seminar. During the in-person seminar, you’ll meet the bariatric team, including the surgeon, dietitian, nurses, and insurance coordinator(s).
At your appointment, the surgeon will review your health history and weight loss options, including bariatric surgery.
Your surgeon and insurance plan may require other appointments with specialists before bariatric surgery to get surgical clearances related to co-existing health conditions. For example, a primary care provider documents a supervised diet before surgery. These steps, if required by the specific insurance plan, will be discussed in detail.
