What we need from the referring doctor:
- Order for the procedure
- Order for pediatric sedation
- Precertification at least a week prior to procedure date, unless there’s a sudden development (Note: We cannot obtain precertification for you)
Please let us know if a patient is:
- Medically complex (especially if the heart, lungs or airway are involved)
- Allergic to any sedation or anesthesia medications, soy or eggs
- A difficult IV stick
- Difficult to sedate
- Has severe behavior needs or preferences for how sedation is done
- Has had complications with previous sedations, surgeries or anesthesia
Our doctors like to assess each case individually and prepare in advance of the procedure.
