Our pharmacists and liaison nurse work closely with physicians, home health agencies and family members to evaluate patient needs. Each patient will receive individualized, cost-effective, state-of-the-art infusion therapy with continued monitoring throughout their plan of care. A pharmacist is available to the home care team and patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all services provided:
- Antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals
- Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
- Fluids/hydration
- Steroids
- Pain management
- Inotropics (cardiac)
- IVIG
- Factor VIII
- IV line catheter care supplies
- Pumps – ambulatory, stationary and elastomeric
- IV poles and supplies
- Free delivery to home
Ascension Via Christi Home Medical Infusion Pharmacy is licensed by the State of Kansas so capable of serving patients throughout the state. The pharmacy team includes pharmacists and technicians that specialize in compounding sterile IV medications that meet stringent government standards. In addition, the pharmacy maintains national accreditation through the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) to assure patient services meet standards of excellence.
Insurance
Our reimbursement specialists are ready to answer questions relating to insurance coverage. With each referral they contact the insurance plans to determine patient benefits. Financial responsibility is discussed with each patient for approval prior to start of therapy. Our infusion pharmacy is a preferred provider for most major insurance plans in Kansas including:
- Blue Cross & Blue Shield
- Medicare - Part B, D and Advantage
- Kansas Medicaid and HMO Plans

- Patient demographic information
- Patient insurance information
- Patient drug allergies
- Type of IV line
- Physician medication orders, including Heparin 10u/ml and NaCl 0.9% flushes for maintaining IV line, and laboratory orders
