Personal Belongings
Collect all of your belongings and double-check closets and drawers. If you have items stored in the hospital safe, they can be obtained Monday through Friday from 6 am- 9 pm. Please present your written receipt at the switchboard.
Escort Service
When you are ready to leave, a member of the hospital staff or a volunteer will escort you to the front entrance and help you into your car.

Via Christi Home Health
Home healthcare services are available to patients of any age who require skilled medical care but do not need the supervision of a hospital or nursing home staff.
Home healthcare services include skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, social services, home health aides, and nutritional and pharmaceutical counseling.
Ascension Via Christi Home Medical
Ascension Via Christi Home Medical can assist you with the rental, sale and service of home medical equipment and oxygen. Professionals, who understand your special needs, will take you step by step through the equipment selection process. Most insurance programs are accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ascension Via Christi Home Medical is located at 200 E. Centennial, in the Meadowbrook Commons near Meadowbrook Mall. You can also reach them by phone at 620-235-0327.
Discharge Planning
Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg offers this service to help you as you prepare to leave the hospital.
Staff members will visit with you to determine your needs and discuss any concerns you may have about going home. This could include physical, psychosocial, medical and equipment needs, or financial and insurance questions.
If you have any questions, a member of the nursing staff will be happy to arrange for the appropriate person to contact you as soon as possible. In addition, the Social Service Department may also be contacted at 620-232-0387.
CareVan
For residents in Pittsburg, CareVan provides courtesy transportation to the hospital.
