Injury prevention programs
We offer injury prevention programs, such as Drive Now, Text Later at community and school health events. We provide continuing education to first responders and work with community leaders to improve medical crisis response plans in preparation for natural disasters or homeland security threats. And, we teach fall prevention courses to those most at risk for a serious injury from falls.
Level I trauma center
Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis is verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as an Adult Level I Trauma Center. The ACS verifies that the hospital is equipped and capable of providing the highest level of care for patients with serious injuries. A Trauma Center is much more than just a hospital or an emergency room. It is a specialized facility that meets specific criteria and has a dedicated team with resources and facilities to meet the needs of patients with severe and life threatening injuries.
