Ascension Saint Joseph Elgin needs exceptional people like you to join our team of volunteers.
Volunteer positions are available seven days a week and include daytime and evening hours. Assignments are designed to balance the needs of the hospital and patients with your areas of interest.

Age requirements
We accept adults age 18 and up. Teenagers must be at least 16 years old with a completed parental consent form.
Application process
- Complete a volunteer application (teen or adult)
- Attend an interview session
- A health screening for measles, mumps and rubella
- Submit information for a criminal background check and orientation paperwork
