Your doctor and care team take the time to explain the process, requirements and what to expect. We also provide support and answer your questions – big and small.

Meet the medical team that is caring for patients from across the Southeast needing a life-saving transplant due to kidney failure:

Alp Demirag, MDAlp Demirag, MD, is a kidney transplant surgeon on our care team. He has been in practice for more than 20 years.


Douglas Keith, MDDouglas Keith, MD, is a board-certified transplant nephrologist. He has published numerous research articles in kidney transplantation and chronic kidney disease in peer-reviewed journals.


Your care team may also include a financial coordinator, dietitian, pharmacist, social worker and transplant coordinator. We work together to deliver personalized care throughout your transplant and recovery.

Ascension Sacred Heart and University of Florida Health are collaborating through the University's Division of Transplant Surgery, Department of Surgery, College of Medicine.
