Cotton Pediatric Emergency Department at Ascension St. John Children's Hospital is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Our trauma care teams listen to quickly understand your child's health needs. Then, we provide care that’s right for your child and your family. Our board-certified emergency care doctors and care teams are specially trained to care for children and deliver advanced lifesaving services. If your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, go directly to the nearest ER or call 911. If your child needs more advanced care, they will receive care in our pediatric ER and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). For children with severe trauma injuries, we offer advanced trauma care in our Level II Trauma Center.
