Billing Information
Riverwoods Parkway Urgent Care is a department of Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Milwaukee Campus. As a result, our billing processes are aligned with those of the hospital. This means that services provided at our urgent care will be billed as a hospital outpatient claim.
Please note:
- Ascension Urgent Care locations accept most insurances for medical services rendered. However, it is the responsibility of the patient to verify coverage and benefits with their insurance provider prior to receiving treatment.
- Ascension Urgent Care locations are designated as outpatient departments of our hospitals. Consequently, it's important to note that your insurance provider may categorize visits to our facility differently compared to those in clinic-based facilities.
- Urgent care services provided at Ascension Urgent Care locations may be processed under your insurance company's urgent care or emergency department coverage, depending on the determination made by your insurance provider.
- Depending on the range of services provided during your visit, it's important to note that you may receive multiple bills. This can occur due to the diverse nature of healthcare services offered at Ascension Urgent Care locations, which may involve various medical professionals, diagnostic tests, and treatments. Each aspect of your care, such as physician services, laboratory tests, imaging studies, or medication administration, may have separate professional charges that are billed separately.
