Visiting Hours
Protecting our patients and associates is paramount to our Mission and to reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Given the unique circumstances related to COVID-19, we have implemented visitor restrictions to reduce the risk of exposure for patients, caregivers, associates and the communities we serve.
Information Desk
The information desk may be reached by dialing ext. 54704 within the hospital, or outside the hospital by calling 512-504-5000 ext. 54704. The desk is located on the first floor at the main entrance. It is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., primarily by helpful volunteers who can assist with questions about our services and directions around the hospital.

- Vending machines are located in the hall outside of the Café.
- Guest Trays
A guest tray may be ordered through the Food and Nutrition Department by dialing 54317 and an associate will assist you in making your selection. The cost of each tray is $7.50 and must be paid by credit card at the time of the order. Guest trays will be delivered to the patients room within 45 minutes of placing order.
Gift Shop
The Great Habits gift shop is located on the first floor, near the main entrance. The proceeds from the gift shop are donated back to the hospital through the volunteer auxiliary to assist the needs of our patients. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Internet Access
Ascension Seton Hays offers free wireless access. Patients and other guests can use their personal laptops, PDA’s or other handheld devices to connect to the Ascension Seton Family Access Network and then easily navigate to their favorite websites or e-mail accounts. Wireless instruction cards are available throughout the hospital.
Telephone Calls
To reach a patient at Ascension Seton Hays, dial 512-504-5000 to reach the operator, who will connect you with the patient. If you know the room number, you can dial it directly. The three-digit room number makes up the last three numbers of the phone number proceeded by 5045. For example, to call room #100, simply dial 504-5100.
Courtesy and pay phones are located throughout the hospital for your convenience. To place an outside call from inside the hospital, dial “9” and then the number. To call within the hospital, simply dial the 5-digit extension (the last five numbers of the hospital phone number). To reach the hospital operator, dial “0”. To place a long-distance call, dial “9”, “0” and the number. The operator will come on the line and connect you with your chosen long distance provider. International calls must go through the hospital operator. All long distance calls must be charged on your credit card or placed collect.
Reminders For Visitors
- Smoke-Free Campus - Ascension Seton Hays is a smoke-free campus, extending to not just the inside of the hospital but all surrounding, adjacent grounds and parking areas at this site.
- Cell Phones - Cell phone use may interfere with the performance of advanced medical equipment. Ascension Seton prohibits the use of cell phones in the following critical care areas: Emergency department, surgery, intensive care unit/IMC, neonatal intensive care unit, endo and cath lab.
