Ascension welcomes family and friends of our patients. We’ve provided the information below to help make your visit convenient and comfortable.
General hospital visiting hours are from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., although some visiting hours vary by department. Overnight stays are not permitted unless approved in advance by the unit. Patients may have one visitor stay overnight with them. Visitors coming after 8 p.m. must enter through the Emergency Department, and obtain a visitor pass from Security. The emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The patient care team and/or security may modify visiting hours to ensure the best care of the patient. Please call the nursing unit for specific information.
Our hospital has one Information Desk that is manned by Volunteers at the main entrance on the first level.
The Dining Room is located on the first floor and is open from 6:30 a.m. – 6:45 p.m. Breakfast is served from 6:30 – 10:00 a.m.; lunch is from 11 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Vending machines are located in the hospital and are available 24 hours a day at your convenience.
To reach a patient at Dell Seton, dial 512-324-7000 to reach the operator, who can give you the room number. If you know the room number, you can dial it directly. The three-digit room number makes up the last three numbers of the phone number. For example, to call room #100, simply dial 512-324-7100.
To call within the hospital, simply dial the last five digits (example 47100). To reach the hospital operator, dial 0. To place a long-distance call, dial 9, 0 and the number. The operator will come on the line and connect you with your chosen long distance provider. International calls must go through the hospital operator.

Throughout the hospital, self-service gift kiosks are available 24 hours a day. Please ask an associate for specific details on locations.
