About Us

Being told you or your loved one needs a transplant can be overwhelming. But you’re not alone. Doctors at the Adult Abdominal Transplant Center diagnose, treat and manage the care of adults (18 years and older) in need of a kidney or pancreas transplant. And we provide compassionate care for living kidney donors. Our team of highly specialized transplant surgeons work with you and your family to create a care plan that’s right for you. We use the latest techniques to provide transplants for those in need of an organ. The Adult Abdominal Transplant Center is approved by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to provide kidney transplant services.

They work alongside a team of transplant experts, including transplant coordinators, physician assistants, nurses, advanced practice providers, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, and more — providing unparalleled care for patients every step of the way. We collaborate with specialists at the Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin. Schedule a consultation with a transplant specialist

Before you are considered for a transplant, you will have a thorough medical evaluation. We start by listening to you, to understand you and your health. During your consultation, ask us your questions—big and small. Your evaluation may involve a variety of tests, including advanced imaging, chest x-rays, consultations, an electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) test, laboratory testing, physical exams, stress tests and more. These test results help your care team to determine if a transplant is right for you.
