We provide 24/7 care for pelvic pain, preterm labor and complications associated with high-risk pregnancy. Experienced ER care teams listen to quickly understand your needs to deliver the right care for you and your baby. You are also connected to the right follow-up care across Ascension Saint Thomas sites of care by our specialists before you leave the ER—including leading heart care and women's health.

Your care team includes board-certified OB-GYNs, advanced practice providers and specialized registered nurses trained in providing care for pregnancy-related emergencies, gynecologic emergencies and to diagnose labor. The OB hospitalists at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown specialize in delivering care for patients who are in the hospital. OB hospitalists also have additional training, such as advanced fetal assessment and monitoring. Along with delivering babies, OB hospitalists assist with complications and emergencies that may arise. OB hospitalists:
- Assist patients with high-risk pregnancies
- Deliver babies for patients who may not have an OB-GYN
- Provide care during an emergency before your doctor arrives
