What to expect at your neurology appointment

Your neurologist and care team start your appointment by listening to understand you and your symptoms. Neurologic disorders can cause muscle weakness, spine and peripheral nerve pain, head pressure, changes in your mental health, memory loss, mobility challenges, and many other symptoms. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and other health problems. Your doctor may recommend neurodiagnostic testing (called neurophysiology and neuroradiology) to aid in your diagnosis. Then, we work with you to create a personalized care plan. If surgery is recommended, our goal is to deliver care that supports your physical and emotional health and improves your quality of life.
