  • What should I expect before, during and after joint replacement surgery?

    Our care teams are here for you every step of the way. If you have any questions prior to your joint replacement surgery, please contact your orthopedic doctor. Your doctor understands your healthcare needs and goals..     • Let your dentist know if you had joint replacement surgery. After joint replacement you have to premedicate. Contact our office prior to any dental appointments.
    • It’s likely that your joint replacement will trigger the TSA airport security device and additional TSA scanning may take place.

 

Sports injury care and rehab

Our sports medicine doctors and care teams deliver prompt care when a bone or muscle injury keeps you on the sidelines. Rehabilitation services include physical therapy and athletic training for your sports performance needs. Our doctors and athletic trainers support local sports teams as first responders at practices and competitions.   • Do I have to be an athlete to see a sports medicine doctor?

Our sports medicine specialists are experts regarding activity-related injuries and conditions and will develop a plan with you with the goal of getting you back to what you love. 
  • What is platelet-rich plasma (PRP)?

    PRP injections are a type of minimally invasive orthobiologic treatment that help reduce pain, promote healing and restore function. A PRP injection is made from your own blood using plasma-rich platelets separated from your blood cells and injected back into your body. PRP therapy uses the platelets in your blood because it contains nutrients and proteins that help encourage new cell growth.Plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow are some conditions treated with PRP injections. This treatment is also used to treat inflamed tendons and ligaments in the knee and hip.
