About Us

The care team at Ascension Saint Agnes Breast Center Columbia in Columbia MD, delivers breast screenings and mammograms for your breast health.

Breast specialists at Ascension Saint Agnes Breast Center Columbia deliver compassionate, personalized care. We start by listening to understand you and your health concerns. And we’re dedicated to delivering care for your breast health that’s right for you.

Your care team may include breast imaging specialists, fellowship-trained breast surgeons, women’s health nurse navigators and breast health educators. We offer a range of services including image-guided breast biopsy and lymph node biopsy.

If more tests are needed, our Breast Center with breast imaging works alongside the Ascension Saint Agnes Cancer Institute. Your care team works together to deliver comprehensive breast care and a personalized care plan for your needs. For some breast cancers, surgery may be needed. Surgeons at Ascension Saint Agnes specialize in breast surgery for breast cancer and non-cancerous breast disease. Our breast surgeons perform breast-conserving surgery when possible. And if mastectomy is needed, our plastic surgeons can provide immediate reconstruction.

Your team of women’s health specialists for breast health and more

At Ascension Saint Agnes, you will be connected to a network of women’s health specialists, from breast imaging radiologists and breast surgeons to doctors who specialize in breast reconstructive surgery, medical oncology, gynecologic cancer care, radiation therapy, and supportive cancer care services. Cancer care is personal, so is how we care for you.

Genetic testing and counseling

Our care team provides genetic tests for BRCA 1, BRCA 2, and other hereditary genes that may increase your risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Telehealth genetic testing and counseling is now available. Our genetic nurse coordinator schedules your genetic tests and coordinates a consultation with a telehealth genetic consultant at the Breast Center or from the convenience of your home.

Get the breast health screening that is right for you

Getting regular screenings may help find breast cancer early, when it is most treatable. That’s why it is important for women to get a mammogram every year, beginning at age 40. We’re dedicated to delivering breast health care that is right for you.

Finding breast cancer early can help save lives. If your mother, sister, or daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer, find a doctor. Ask if you should have a breast screening test before age 40.

Before you make your appointment, please make sure you have a mammogram referral from your doctor and bring it to your appointment.
