Visiting hours vary. We understand the importance of visitors to the healing process of our patients. If visiting hours are limited in certain units they will be posted.
Visitors should not come to the hospital if they are ill. They could spread their illness to other patients. Patients who have a disease spread by skin-to-skin contact may have their visits restricted. Please check with your nurse.
To reduce the risk of latex allergies, visitors are asked not to bring latex balloons as gifts. Latex balloons can be exchanged free of charge for mylar balloons in the hospital gift shop.
Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The shop offers a wide selection of cards, candles, lotions, soaps, balloons, stuffed animals, candy, snacks, jewelry, purses and other gift items as well as seasonal items.
Cafeteria and Food Service
The hospital cafeteria is open from 7 am to 2 pm, located on the first floor. Guest Trays can be ordered for a nominal fee for friends and family. Call ext. 4675 or ask a catering associate or a nurse.
A Chapel is adjacent to the main lobby and is open to people of all denominations 24 hours a day. To reach a chaplain call 765-552-4622 or ask your St. Vincent nurse to contact a Spiritual Care associate. Patients and family members are welcome to invite their priest, minister, rabbi or religious leader to visit at any time.
St. Vincent Mercy Hospital is committed to providing culturally and linguistically appropriate care to all our patients and their families, especially those with limited English proficiency, deaf and hearing-impaired patients, as well as those with unique physical needs. To access any of our specialized services in these areas, please notify our Pre-registration or Registration Staff before or upon your arrival. If you are an inpatient, please let your nurse know and these services will be readily accessible to you.
