Campus amenities at Ascension St. Vincent - Evansville
Ascension St. Vincent - Evansville is a place of healing, made just for patients and families. To help make your hospital stay more comfortable for you and your family, we provide a range of amenities, including:
Chapel and spiritual care
Chaplains are available to provide spiritual care for patients and families. A chapel is located by going through the Center for Advanced Medicine. The chapel is open 24/7. Families are welcome to use this room for prayer, meditation or quiet time.
Pastoral care prayer request: Rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered, holistic care, which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words.
It is common for patients to feel anxious, fearful, powerless, loss of control, and distant from their loved ones or their God. You may also experience spiritual distress in the midst of your illness. Talk to your care team about submitting a prayer request.

Health Access: connecting you to healthcare service
Health Access provides a comprehensive network of health, human and social services for improved access and removal of barriers to needed resources. The Health Access Department (formerly known as RUAH) is a community-based care coordination program sponsored by Ascension St. Vincent and inspired by the work of St. Vincent de Paul.
Health advocates can help you connect to care by finding a doctor, applying for health coverage programs, connecting to community resources and agencies, and prescription assistance programs. When you come into the hospital or doctor’s office for services, be sure to let your doctor and care team know you’re working with a health advocate. That way, we can better serve you by working together as a team to help you remove any barrier to you and your family’s health. A health advocate can help you:
