Heart and vascular imaging, close to home

Ascension Alexian Brothers Heart Imaging in Elk Grove Village, IL, provides advanced heart and vascular imaging, close to home.

Delivering high-quality medical images of the heart

Our radiology care teams at Ascension Alexian Brothers specialize in cardiac imaging tests (pictures of the heart and surrounding anatomy). These tests help your doctors diagnose and treat heart and vascular conditions. Your care team is dedicated to making your experience as comfortable as possible. We explain what to expect and whether there are any dietary restrictions before coming in for your imaging test or procedure. Let our care team know if you have specific needs or concerns, so we can make arrangements to deliver testing that is right for you.

What to expect

A doctor’s referral is needed for all types of heart imaging tests. Let us know if you had previous imaging studies at a different imaging center. If so, please bring the CD report, or let us know so we can request the imaging report from the radiology group.

Multispecialty cardiac imaging services

We deliver a wide range of tests and procedures using state-of-the-art technology. Our diagnostic radiologists specialize in radiographic studies of the heart and coronary arteries. We focus on your needs and use a secure digital network to communicate timely test results to your doctor.

  • Cardiac catheterization (using a small camera that is inserted through an artery to view the heart)
  • Cardiac computed tomography (CT) and coronary artery calcium scoring
  • Cardiac MRI
  • Coronary CT angiography
  • Echocardiography
  • Electrophysiology (EP) test
  • Stress test

Many of our radiologists are also interventional radiologists. Interventional radiology procedures may include heart catheterization and stent placement, radio-frequency ablation, minimally invasive procedures to dissolve blood clots, and procedures to open arteries and veins for better blood flow.
