Ascension Resurrection provides convenient parking, food and beverages and a gift shop for visitors, patients and their families.

Visiting hours and guidelines

  • Visiting hours are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day
  • Visitors may not enter the facility if they:
    • Are currently experiencing respiratory symptoms (including fever, cough and sore throat)
    • Had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 10 days
    • Have had close contact with someone positive for COVID-19 in the last 5 days
  • All visitors must wear a medical-grade mask that fully covers mouth and nose throughout their visit. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
  • Visitors younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are strongly discouraged from visiting intensive care units and high-risk areas.
  • Additional restrictions may apply
    Please note that procedural and specialty units may have stricter guidelines for masks, gowns and gloves, as well as limits on visiting hours and number of visitors at a time. Please follow all guidelines and discuss any special accommodations with the patient’s care team.

    Parking information

    There is no charge for parking. Please park in the following areas:

    Food and drink

    Cafeteria
    The hospital cafeteria offers healthy, freshly prepared food. Guests may enjoy the salad and soup bar, daily specials and items from the grill. The cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the hospital.

    Monday–Friday:

    • 6:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. (breakfast)
    • 11:15 a.m. – 2 p.m. (lunch)
    • 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (dinner)

    Canteen
    Located on the ground floor, the canteen is open to visitors 24/7. Vending machines are stocked daily with fresh fruit, drinks, sandwiches and snacks. A change machine is available.

    Room service
    An innovative approach to food preparation and meal delivery ensures a more positive and nutritional experience for the patient. Call 773-990-3663 between the hours of 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

    Gift shop

    The Butterfly Gift Shop has two locations — one near the medical center's main lobby, and another location near the Professional Office Building's lobby at Entrance 2. Both locations offer a wide range of merchandise. Whether you are looking for a gift or purchasing something for yourself, you will find a large selection of items and ideas to please many different tastes. The shops’ dedicated volunteers are pleased to help you with your selections. Gift certificates are also available.

    Jewelry, key chains, stuffed animals, candy (including See's Candies), sundries, baby gifts, seasonal items, greeting cards and magazines are sold in the gift shop. Fashionable clothing and accessories such as scarves, ties and handbags can be purchased as well.

    Professional Building

    Special deliveries

    To have fresh flowers delivered to a patient or an Ascension Resurrection associate, call 773-990-6338. You will need to provide your price range, credit card information and the name and room number of the patient or department for associates. Please note that patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) are unable to receive flowers until transferred to a transitional unit.

    The shop also offers special room delivery service to hospital patients. Call the shop to purchase personal care kits, slippers, newspapers, and more.

    Chapels

    The chapel and prayer room are available for patients and visitors for quiet meditation and prayer.
