Multispecialty cancer care delivers targeted therapy for your cancer needs

We’re dedicated to delivering targeted cancer therapies with supportive cancer care services. Our specialists routinely review your care plan to help improve your survivorship and quality of life. Your multispecialty care team may include medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, and other cancer specialists who diagnose and treat many types of cancer, including:

Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center provides services that support your recovery after having chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery. We offer a range of services on our campus, with convenient valet parking. Transportation to and from appointments can be arranged for you. Our oncology care teams work together to help make your appointments as easy and coordinated as possible.

When you’re going through cancer care, we’re by your side. Your doctors and care team are here to help, listen and offer services that help support your treatment plan. Have a conversation with our patient navigator — ask any question, big or small. And we offer an extended care team for emotional support — chaplain, palliative care specialist and oncology-certified social worker. Early detection of breast cancer

The Ann L. Baroco Center for Breast Health and Mammography is a state-of-the art facility with radiologists who specialize in the detection of breast cancer. Breast imaging includes screening and diagnostic 3D mammograms, breast ultrasound, stereotactic needle biopsy, and ultrasound-guided biopsy.

Ann L. Baroco Center for Breast Health and Mammography delivers advanced digital imaging options, personalized for you. We provide breast ultrasounds, mammograms, biopsies and other screenings for women. When surgery is recommended, we have experienced, highly-trained breast surgeons. The Ann L. Baroco Center for Breast Health and Mammography also offers a dedicated breast health navigator to help ease anxiety, provide education and support you and your family.

Supportive cancer care

The hallmark of our cancer care program is our team approach. Services are centered around the care of the whole person, healing body, mind and spirit. Programs include a breast cancer support group and Miracle Camp, formerly known as Camp Bluebird, a camp for adult cancer survivors. Call 850-416-5730 for details about Miracle Camp.

3D mammograms, breast MRI, PET imaging and low-dose CT lung scans are high-definition image studies that help improve the detection of hard-to-find cancers. All of these services are located at Ann L. Baroco Center for Breast Health and Mammography. Other services include biopsy procedures, advanced radiology imaging, minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, ultrasound-image-guided procedures of the chest and abdomen, and more. We also offer tumor testing for personal molecular targets and hereditary cancer genes (for example, BRCA genes, Lynch syndrome, BFAF mutations, germline and tumor cells). 

Medical oncology treatments are provided in a comfortable infusion center. Chemotherapy and other treatments may involve oral, intravenous (IV) or topical medication therapy. These treatments may be combined with surgery or other treatments.

Radiation oncology offers advanced, targeted radiotherapy and radiosurgery to destroy cancer cells and tumors. Our radiation oncology division uses the latest version of the Varian Truebeam and Trilogy technology which has advanced imaging, six-degree couch rotation, and the latest respiratory gating software. We offer a range of advanced treatments, including:  

  • External beam radiation therapy (EBRT) with image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT)
  • Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SRT)
  • Prone Breast Treatment
  • EBRT using Respiratory Gating

Surgeons specializing in breast surgery and reconstruction, gastric surgery, lung and chest surgery, and urologic surgery deliver advanced surgical treatments. Minimally invasive techniques are used whenever possible. Image-guided and computer-assisted technology with high-definition navigation helps your surgeon remove a tumor while preserving healthy tissue. Minimally invasive surgery helps promote healing and reduce scarring, for example:    

  • Endobronchial thoracic surgery 
  • Hidden scar, a breast surgery technique
  • Mohs microsurgery 
  • Reconstructive breast plastic surgery 
  • Robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Xi system
