Safe at Home

This new class will prepare your 4th through 6 grader to be safe when they stay home alone.

This instructor-led class is designed to prepare students for their first steps towards independence.

The fee is $25.00 per participant & includes the Safe@Home resource book and class materials.

Topics include:

  • Safety Skills - Students lean how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies.
  • First Aid Skills: Students are introduced to the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

This class will be held in the Education Center which is located in the Pavlic Center at the Elmbrook Memorial Campus. The Pavlic Center building is located on the south end of the surface lot and is not attached to the hospital. Please use the lower, rear door to enter the building to the south. Follow signs to Room 017 located on the lower level.

Classes are provided in English unless otherwise stated. If you require language assistance please let us know when you call or register. We are happy to support your communication needs through interpreter resources

We reserve the right to cancel the class for low enrollment and will issue a full refund.

**If your class required payment, refunds will be given if class cancellation request is received 2 business days (48 hours) prior to the start of the class/program. Full refund given for any class cancelled by the site.
