Bariatric Surgery Pre Op Bootcamp 5/2/24

The Pre-operative "boot camp" class session is a requirement for any patient scheduled to undergo weight loss surgery at St. Vincent's Birmingham, surgery will not be performed without completion of this class.

Patients should sign up to complete a class no more than 10 days prior to their scheduled surgery date. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS UNLESS YOUR SURGEON'S OFFICE HAS OBTAINED APPROVAL FOR YOUR SURGERY AND CALLED YOU WITH A DATE. This class will provide education what to expect in the immediate pre-operative and post-operative period, pre-surgery preparation, and prevention of complications after surgery.

Your surgeon's office will be scheduling your PAT (Pre Admission Testing) appointment and your final pre-operative appointment the same day as this class, therefore it is very important to register for a class session as soon as you receive your surgery date.

If your class required payment, a refund will be given if a cancellation request is received 2 business days (48 hours) prior to the start of the class/program. A full refund will be given for any class cancelled by the site.
