Visitor Information

Ascension welcomes family and friends of our patients. We’ve provided the information below to help make your visit convenient and comfortable.

Visiting Hours

Visitors are welcome between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Patients may designate a family member or friend to stay at all times. Some special nursing areas such as the Adult and Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Maternity have specific policies concerning visitors. Please contact the individual nursing unit to verify visiting times and for additional information.

Information Desk

The desk is located on the first floor at the main entrance. It is staffed Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., primarily by helpful volunteers who can assist with questions about our services and directions around the hospital.

    are located in the outside hall next to the cafeteria dining room.
  • Guest Trays
    A guest tray may be ordered through room service by calling 512-324-4180 from outside the hospital, or by dialing 44180 from within the hospital. The cost is $5.00 or $7.50 depending on the meal ordered. Payment must be made via credit card at the time the order is placed. Meals may be purchased using other methods of payment during dining room hours. Guest meals will be delivered to the room within 45 minutes of placing the order.
  • Roasted Coffee Shop

    is located next to the main entrance and is open daily from 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Freshly brewed coffee and a variety of coffee drinks and teas are available, along with delicious pastries

Gift Shop

The Great Habits Gift Shop is located on the first floor lobby and is open 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday – Friday and 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday. The gift shop offers beautiful and unique gifts as well as snack items and drinks. It is operated by dedicated volunteers and all proceeds are donated back to special projects at Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson.

Automated Teller Machine (ATM)

The ATM is located on the first floor just outside the dining room.

Internet Access

Ascension Seton Williamson offers free wireless access. Patients and other guests can use their personal laptops, PDA’s or other handheld devices to connect to the Ascension Seton Family Access Network and then easily navigate to their favorite websites or e-mail accounts. Wireless instruction cards are available throughout the hospital.

Telephone Calls

To reach a patient at Ascension Seton Williamson, dial 512-324-4000 to reach the operator, who will connect you with the patient. If you know the room number, you can dial it directly. The three-digit room number makes up the last three numbers of the phone number proceeded by 3244. For example, to call room #100, simply dial 324-4100.

Courtesy and pay phones are located throughout the hospital for your convenience. To place an outside call from inside the hospital, dial “9” and then the number. To call within the hospital, simply dial the 5-digit extension Ext.: 11771 or 47100. To reach the hospital operator, dial “0”. To place a long-distance call, dial “9”, “0 “and the number. The operator will come on the line and connect you with your chosen long distance provider. International calls must go through the hospital operator.

  • Smoke-Free Campus
    Ascension Seton Williamson is a smoke-free campus, extending to not just the inside of the hospital but all surrounding, adjacent grounds and parking areas at this site.
  • Cell Phones
    Cell phone use may interfere with the performance of advanced medical equipment, Ascension Seton prohibits the use of cell phones in the following critical care areas: Emergency Department, Surgery, Intensive Care Unit/IMC, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Endo, and Cath Lab.
