Ascension Alexian Brothers provides convenient parking, food and beverages and a gift shop for visitors, patients and their families.

Visiting hours and guidelines

  • Visiting hours are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day
  • Visitors may not enter the facility if they:
    • Are currently experiencing respiratory symptoms (including fever, cough and sore throat)
    • Had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 10 days
    • Have had close contact with someone positive for COVID-19 in the last 5 days
  • All visitors must wear a medical-grade mask that fully covers mouth and nose throughout their visit. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
  • Visitors younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are strongly discouraged from visiting intensive care units and high-risk areas.
  • Additional restrictions may apply
    Please note that procedural and specialty units may have stricter guidelines for masks, gowns and gloves, as well as limits on visiting hours and number of visitors at a time. Please follow all guidelines and discuss any special accommodations with the patient’s care team.

    Parking information

    Patients and visitors should park in the parking garage near entrance 7 (off of Leicester Road).

    Complimentary valet parking

    Available at the main entrance, as well as entrances 6, 7 and 8. Complimentary valet parking is also available at Ascension Alexian Brothers Cancer Care Elk Grove, located on the northwest corner of the Ascension Alexian Brothers campus, across from the visitor parking garage.

    Taxi service

    Taxi service is available at all main hospital entrances.

    Spirit Van service

    Ascension Alexian Brothers operates a fleet of wheelchair-accessible Spirit Vans. Patients can arrange pickup and drop-off within a six-mile radius of the hospital. Please schedule 2‑3 days in advance.

    Snack vending machines are located outside of the café and near the Emergency Room. 

    Chapels

    The Maddalena and Charles Pastika Memorial Chapel of the Immaculate Conception offers visitors a 24/7 sanctuary for spiritual reflection. The chapel has an altar, refurbished organ and religious statues and artifacts. Mass is celebrated Monday through Friday at 5 p.m., and Sunday at 9 a.m., with seating available for 120 people. The chapel (and adjacent prayer garden) is located on the south side of the hospital's ground floor near the main entrance.
