Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation’s (DCWAF) mission is to connect wine enthusiasts to raise money to benefit children in need in Northwest Florida. Founded in 2005, DCWAF has donated more than $25 million to Northwest Florida charities through the hosting of world class wine and culinary events.

In 2022 Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast received $173,000 to assist in funding a highly necessary CT Scanner that can provide a scan in a matter of seconds to pediatric and adult patients, without holding their breath and with less radiation than previous equipment.

Funds raised by DCWAF have impacted the lives of over 100,000 area youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. DCWAF has been recognized as one of the Nation’s Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions in the U.S. by Wine Spectator Magazine for the last 10 years.

The funds raised are distributed to 15 local non-profit organizations for specific projects and programs that benefit children. Charity partners for 2022 include Children in Crisis, Children’s Volunteer Health Network, Emerald Coast Autism Center, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Food for Thought, Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, The Arc of the Emerald Coast, Opportunity Inc., Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, Shelter House of Northwest Florida, AMI Kids Emerald Coast, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Mental Health Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Youth Village and Westonwood Ranch.

This year, DCWAF raised more than $3.8 million in live auction bids—a $ 1.8 million increase over the previous year’s total. The auction was comprised of 46 unique Live Lots, 29 Super Silent offerings, and 137 Silent Lots. The annual event was attended by over 500 wine enthusiasts, making it the most successful DCWAF to-date. The money raised at this year’s auction will be presented to the charity partners during a check presentation event in August 2022.

The dates for next year’s DCWAF weekend are April 27 – 29, 2023. For more information regarding DCWAF, visit www.DCWAF.org.
