Pediatric care for your child's everyday health
Whether your child is ready for a check-up or is feeling sick — pediatricians at Ascension sites of care are here for your family. Pediatric doctors deliver primary care for babies, children and teens. Pediatric primary care includes physical exams, school and sport physicals, vaccinations, scoliosis screening, mental health care, and more. We also provide prenatal visits, so you can start building a relationship with a pediatrician before your child is born.
Symptoms of children’s illnesses
Parents are usually the first to notice if their child is feeling sick. That’s why we start by listening to you, to better understand your child and their health. When your child has any new symptoms, our pediatricians and pediatric nurses are here to help. Symptoms of children’s illnesses may include:

- Diarrhea
- Fever
- Headache
- Pain
- Rash
For some appointments, an online (telehealth) visit may be an option.
If your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, go directly to the ER or call 911.
Primary care for teens
Some pediatricians specialize in adolescent medicine. Our pediatricians and adolescent medicine care teams understand the importance of healthy development in teenagers. Teens have special physical, mental and emotional needs. We offer physical exams, school and sports physicals, and provide care for illness and injury. We also provide specialty care for puberty changes, chronic headaches, asthma, eating disorders, anxiety and depression, difficulty sleeping, and sexually transmitted diseases. Your teen’s doctor will listen to understand your child. Then, we work with your teen to create a care plan that’s right for them.
Referrals for pediatric specialists
