Comprehensive Stroke Centers

Ascension hospitals across Michigan have earned the designation Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Comprehensive Stroke Centers deliver advanced stroke care for even the most complex cases. This highly specialized stroke care helps support better outcomes at a time when you need it most. Our Comprehensive Stroke Centers include:

Primary Stroke Centers

In addition to our Comprehensive Stroke Centers, we also have hospitals designated as Primary Stroke Centers by The Joint Commission. This certification means our care teams provide advanced stroke care that meets the specialized needs of stroke patients. Our Primary Stroke Centers include:

Advanced trauma care

Ascension St. John Hospital is a level I trauma center as certified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the national organization responsible for evaluating and verifying hospitals as designated trauma centers. Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, and Ascension Providence Hospital (Novi and Southfield Campuses) are all level II trauma centers.

And your doctor will get a record from your visit. If you need more advanced care, the doctor and care team you see will connect you with a specialist and other care services.
