Emergency mental health care
Quickly recognizing the signs that you or a loved one is experiencing moderate to severe mental or emotional distress is the first step in getting necessary care. For emergencies, including severe mental health distress and suspected substance overdose, ERs at our hospitals are open 24/7. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, go directly to the ER or dial 911.
Psychosocial and psychiatric assessments
Psycho-social and psychiatric assessments and personalized care plans for teens and adults. Our specialists provide individual, family and group psychotherapy, medication management, marriage and family counseling and inpatient mental health hospital care. At Ascension St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health, we offer virtual visits with your doctor, from the comfort of your home.
Managing parenthood
Talk to your OB-GYN about how feelings of stress and anxiety may be affecting how you feel during your pregnancy and after the birth of your child. Your doctor provides personalized care for your emotional health and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD), and offers support services for breastfeeding and women’s health concerns.
Support for seniors
Ascension St. Vincent’s Blount provides a seniors’ day program called Senior Life Solutions that focuses on the needs of older adults and their mental and emotional health needs.
