David L. Mayor, II, MD, has joined Borgess Orthopedics as a hand surgeon. He enjoys a position of leadership and research excellence in his field. Dr. Mayor has made presentations at medical conferences in California and Michigan, and delivered 13 Grand Rounds presentations in Flint, Michigan and Spokane, Washington. He received a first-place award for one of his oral presentations. Dr. Mayor has been published in the Journal of Heart Rhythm as a contributing researcher, and as the lead researcher on an article published in the Iowa Orthopedic Journal. Dr. Mayor has been active as a teacher and instructor throughout his medical training, and has volunteered extensively among the medically underserved. Dr. Mayor completed his undergraduate degree at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, graduating with Honors and cum laude. He pursued his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. Following medical school, Dr. Mayor completed residency at the McLaren Flint Orthopedic Surgery Residency program in Flint, Michigan. His fellowship training in hand surgery was completed in Louisville, Kentucky at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery.
