Car Seat Installation Station - Harper Woods, MI

Ascension St. John Hospital’s Trauma Injury Prevention Services have partnered together with the Harper Woods Fire Department to provide free, educational car seat installation checks to anyone (expecting parents, grandparents, caretakers, etc.) from Harper Woods and neighboring communities who would like to learn how to properly install their car seat while receiving valuable recommendations and safety information from a Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

Each individualized check takes approximately 25 mins per seat and is done by appointment only.

We have a limited amount of convertible (5lb -65lb / rear to forward facing) and high back booster with harness seats available to qualifying families (see attachment). We do NOT distribute rear facing infant only (RFO) car seats. A child weighing between 5lbs - 65lbs will ride safely in a convertible car seat when installed correctly.
