Diabetes Prevention Program
The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a year-long lifestyle change program that can help you lose weight, become more physically active, reduce stress and prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. Individuals diagnosed with diabetes can improve their health and decrease complications by participating in diabetes education programs.
Diabetes self-management training is provided by specialized nurses and nutritionists to give individualized guidance on managing the disease. This education is covered by most insurances. Education is provided for individuals diagnosed with Type 1, Type 2 or Gestational Diabetes. We have several locations to choose from. A healthy lifestyle can help reduces stress, loose weight and improve health outcomes. Ascension offers multiple classes and lectures to help you live a healthier life. Both virtual and in-person programs offered. Many programs are free.
If your class required payment, a refund will be given if a cancellation request is received 2 business days (48 hours) prior to the start of the class/program. Ascension Providence reserves the right to cancel classes with less than 5 registrants. A full refund will be given for any class cancelled by the site.
