Newborn Care & Infant Development - Private Class

First time parents will learn the basics of newborn care and the importance of infant growth and development from a certified Postpartum Doula and adoptive parent.

This class will provide an overview of Newborn care and Infant Development with an opportunity for follow-up with the instructor beyond the classroom. This class is ideal for families who want to learn more about what to expect after baby leaves the hospital, or those with special circumstances (adoption; surrogacy; blended families; etc.). A certificate of completion will be offered after attendance for a total of 2.5 hours of continuing education.

  • Basic newborn care & safety
  • Infant feeding
  • Infant comfort
  • Family bonding
  • Infant growth and development
  • New parenting questions or concerns
